In Goal!

Its alright, I havent been arrested, I am stayed in a hostel which is an old converted goal. It is absolutely beautiful, probably the most beautiful hostel I have stayed in this holiday.

Ljubljana is a beautiful city, only small but lovely buildings, a castle and some nice bridges. Only spent a day here, then headed out to Lake Bled for a day. This was nice, would have been even better if it was clear and I could actually see the mountains, can only imagine how spectacular it would be. I climbed a cliff to see the Castle here-it has a fantastic view over the lake and the church in the middle of the lake (kind ofa random spot to put a church).

Hi Rhiannon!
Ljubljana is the setting for Paulo Coelho's book 'Veronika decides to die' a worthwhile read (as are all his books!): The covered market arcade along the river is a masterpiece and I was amazed by the variety and the appearance of the sea fish!
Perhaps you could tell us where your next stops are then we would have the chance to let you know what we enjoyed about these places!
Best regards from Geoff!
P.S. A church was always a refuge.
